What we saying here is not for all restaurateurs, but it is worth looking at because it just might open a door. Here are a few ideas, with which you can start slow and follow down the options as fits your situation:
1. PROGRESSIVE WEB APP - Everyone has a cellphone and constantly uses it for online lookups and purchases. Included in ALL options is the creation of your own Progressive Web App, which is instantly installed on the customer's phone's home screen by scanning a QR Code.
2. ONLINE MENUS - Add online menus within the restaurant. This saves on menu costs, eliminating sleeve and laminated menu sanitation, or eliminating the need for paper menus. The customer has your app on their phone, and all they need do is tap the icon for your app. The menu instantly appears and your server is standing by to take it, as usual. An extra bonus is that you can collect their name, mobile phone number, and email address for re-marketing.
3. ORDER PROCESSING - As above, the customer sees your menu, but can now place their order right on their phone, paying for it when done. The order goes directly to a printer in the kitchen.
4. PUSH NOTIFICATIONS - Adding push notifications means you can send a message to all who have your app, at any time using the information collected above. Use it for promotions, specials, events, holiday greetings, most anything you can think of. A great way to increase sales.
5. CURBSIDE PICKUP - Easy to add and manage. Why pay a food delivery company for it? Our software supports pickup.
6. OUTSIDE DELIVERY SERVICES - Ease into this and increase sales. Consider your own delivery service. Our software supports delivery.
